Today I found some money lying on the sidewalk. That has happened before. I assume that it happens with everyone.
Prior to today the most that I had ever found lying on the street was a $5 bill. This was substantially more. Not sure what to do with it.
So, let me frame the question this way: How much is too little to bother to pick up? How much is too much to just take home and keep?
I assume some folks would pick up any money - even a lone penny. Probably others wouldn't bother with anything less than a $1 bill or perhaps more. What is your cutoff for how much is too little to bother picking up?
The second question is how much is too much? I assume that most people, if they came across a bag of money with say $100,000 in it would turn it in to the police and let them know they found it. I'm sure there are others who would keep it. The question is, for you, what is the cutoff point beyond which you would not just pocket the money but would instead turn it in to some authority (police or other)?
