Todd Morgan and Pete Watson To Be New Women's and Men's Cross Country Coaches At UVA

LetsRun.com has learned from credible sources that Todd Morgan and Pete Watson will be the new women's and men's cross country coaches respectively at the University of Virginia.
Morgan heads to UVA after 4 plus years at Florida where he was the women's cross country coach. Watson heads to UVA after two plus years at UNC.
The hiring of the two 30-something year old distance coaches makes a lot of sense for the track and field/cross country program at UVA as the program has a distance focus to it. The two are the first major hires for new UVA director Bryan Fetzer who recently took over after Jason Vigiliante resigned in November. When Fetzer was hired, many people were scratching their heads as to what direction UVA was headed as a program given its prior distance bent since Fetzer, a former college football player, has a sprints/jumps background.
Our sources and the hiring of Watson and Morgan lead us to believe that UVA will continue to have a distance focus and that Fetzer is going to focus a lot of time on being a program director.
