Should I go with the order in which they came out? Or the actual order of the plot line?
I sometimes wonder if it would have been more enjoyable to watch 1-3 before 4-6.
Thoughts? Anyone done this yet?

The only ones worth watching are the originals but you had to see them when they came out to appreciate them.
4-6. Burn 1-3.
You have to at least watch 4 and 5 first. Empire Strikes Back has the big reveal that Darth Vader is Luke's father. You have to see those first.
4,5, then flashback to 2,3 after the big spoiler. Then 6. No need for 1. This sequence is called The Machete Order

If you love your children do NOT show them 1-3.
Don’t force your kids to be nerds.

Actually, now that I think about it and read that, you have a very valid point. That seems to be a solid way to go about it.
Yes, episode I is terrible, and Jar Jar drives just about anyone crazy. I usually need a six pack to get through episode I.

This may need to be updated.
Like 4,5,2,3,6,7,8, okay. But what do you do with Rogue One and Solo?
4,5, pod race from 1, 2,3,6, Solo, 7,8. I'm open to suggestions.
Just the pod race from 1, and skip Rogue One. The pod race is cool for kids, Han's death might mean more with the extra background.
Oh, and should say *Spoiler Alert* about Han's death.

You have no business posting here or watching any Star Wars movie if you didn’t like Rogue One.
All real Star Wars fans and all real men rate Rogue One highly.

I asked my 10-year old son and he said watch 1-6 in order and that they're all good.
I really liked 4 when it came out but it seems really stupid now. After watching them all with my son, 5 and 6 are OK and the rest suck.
Maybe 4, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 9
4, 5, 6. Then tell them the rest are garbage and a waste of time, and send them outside to play.
Speaking of Solo, what were everyone's thoughts?
I enjoyed Harrelson's role, and his performance in the film. I thought it showed a nice, less molded Han Solo in his early years before he becomes jaded by the misfortunes that awaited him.
Definitely enjoyed the development between he and his love interest.

Yes! IMO, Rogue One is ranked third, just behind A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back.
I have a theory. If you were alive and old enough to see it upon its release, you rank IV as the best of the series. If you were born and saw each movie after Return of the Jedi was released, you rank V first.
I am of the former group. The impact IV had on its audience, especially this junior high nerd in 1977, was incredible. None of us had seen anything like it, and no movie has done that since.
Just show the movie that was called Star Wars and leave it at that.
Machetes order is clearly the best.
I would also suggest watching The Clone Wars tv show between 2 and 3. Especially in the later seasons, it make’s Anakin’s arc much more compelling and believable.
The best light sword fight of all time is in Episode I: Darth Maul vs Qui Gon and Obi Wan.
You also need to watch the Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise.
