Its LA, he's a celebrity, case closed. He will prolly get an award for saving the lives of the people on the plane he just missed. They'll joke about it on The Late Show.

Ooh, if only he'd stolen that cool German plane in "Raiders of the Lost Ark", he could have caused some serious problems being himself by landing on a taxiway back at an American or British airfield and wiping out a few Allied planes (and people). Would have made for great movie footage, though!
Entirely relevant. You are simply too stupid to understand.

And Patrick Swayze was a great pilot, too.

Wasn't he Tom Cruise's Wingman in that gay flick Top Gun? Or was they his twin-like brother.
His legal name is Tomas Cruz

I think you're referring to Valerie Kilmer, all slathered with baby oil, but that volleyball scene was not gay, but it turned Kelly McGillis. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Small Planes should be banned from the United States.
Professional pilots flying paying passengers have been known to land at the wrong *airport*. Landing on the taxiway isn't that big of a deal.

Look at how many people are killed in car wrecks caused by illegal aliens each month in L.A.. There's the real danger.
You can't slip and do a steep landing at an airport with airlines. Only at LAX during the holidays has airlines been permitted to do stacked landings, i.e. two at a time on the same runway.

Hey fool. It's a NEAR HIT, and not a "near miss." If it was a near miss he would have hit something.
Good point. You should take it up with the idiom police.

His parents operated a taqueria and made a ton of money.
The wind usually blows inland at SNA. I think Harrison landed on Taxiway C. Airliners taxi from C across 20L to 20R for takeoff. Small planes flying VFR normally on downwind take the dog leg and approach to 20L on a 15 degree angle at SNA to avoid airliners and the wake-turbulence they produce. I think Harrison was supposed to have landed on 20L. But he was confused or sleepy and landed on Taxiway C by mistake. Often experienced small plane pilots will deep crab and steep drop onto the 20L hold bars. At least that what I do. Likewise on 20L takeoffs you are supposed to turn 15 degrees left to avoid airliners and the wake-turbulence from 20R.

He landed on a TAXIWAY! He (based on news reports) mistook the taxiway for the runway.

Sure just land wherever the fcck you like if you're worried about turbulence, taxiway, runway, sidewalk, whatever. So posting until your IQ rises above 70.
Fire that bozo.

Your IQ is certainly far below 70. Below 50 in fact.
You have no clue what the limited options are for a pilot of a small plane experiencing heavy buffeting. They cannot simply circle around. They are too close to landing. Ford was simply not capable of dealing with the conditions. As I already stated, he will likely lose his license. Not they you are capable of comprehending anything of importance to aircraft operation and landing.
